Contact lens exam
Here's what to expect during your contact lens fitting:
- Comprehensive Eye Exam: If you haven't had a recent eye exam, our team will first conduct a comprehensive assessment of your eye health and vision. This step ensures your prescription is up-to-date and helps us identify any potential concerns that may impact your ability to wear contact lenses comfortably.
- Contact Lens Consultation: Our OD team will discuss your lifestyle, preferences, and any specific requirements you may have. With a vast array of contact lens options available, we'll guide you towards the most suitable type of lenses, such as daily disposables, extended wear, or specialty lenses for astigmatism or presbyopia.
- Measurements: To ensure a comfortable and secure fit, we will take precise measurements of your eyes. This includes the curvature and diameter of your cornea, as well as the size of your pupils and the position of your eyelids.
- Trial Lenses: Based on your measurements and preferences, we will provide you with trial contact lenses. We'll carefully instruct you on proper insertion, removal, and care techniques to ensure you feel confident and at ease.
- Follow-up Assessment: After a brief trial period, we'll schedule a follow-up appointment to assess the fit and comfort of your lenses. If any adjustments are needed, our team will fine-tune your lens selection until you're completely satisfied.
